My writing centers experiences of global Blackness, questions of belonging, and the pursuit of love. I draw artistic inspiration from my communities I hold dear, and cultural and personal questions to which I've yet to find the answers.

The members of Àṣẹ Shakerz African dance team are squeezing in one last practice before their history-making, headlining performance at their university's annual multicultural celebration. When one team member suddenly decides she's no longer performing, the group fights to figure out the best way forward for their performance and the future of the team. A comedy full of African music and dance that asks how we preserve culture and what it takes to leave a legacy.

ISLAND OF LOVE

A batch of romantic hopefuls compete for a chance to win love and a large cash prize on the UK’s hottest summer reality dating series. Though everyone has come on the show for the same reasons, one contestant soon learns that not everyone will have the same experience. Positioning the audience as the camera and including all of your favorite elements of reality TV — confessionals, drama, and surprise eliminations — Island of Love is a comedy that dives deep into the various forms of othering that are faced by reality TV’s Black female contestants, on screen and off.
